Welfare Officer

Job Description

We are looking for Welfare Officers for OTTO Work Force. In this role, you are responsible for the daily operation at an assigned housing location. You are the main point of contact for the residents and manage the location. The term "management" includes everything related to the accommodation and the living comfort of the residents. You also ensure order, peace, and cleanliness in and around the location.

You ensure a pleasant stay at our housing location(s). You are also responsible for the livability of the location, the living experience of the residents, and the observance of house rules and procedures. You are flexible, customer-oriented, and have a positive attitude. You always act professionally to carry out your tasks and responsibilities properly.

What are you going to do exactly?

  • Act as the point of contact for residents, neighbors, and other stakeholders.
  • Handle the check-in and check-out of residents.
  • Conduct periodic checks of residents' sleeping areas, both upon arrival and departure.
  • Ensure order, cleanliness, safety, and hygiene at the housing location.
  • Coordinate minor technical maintenance and ensure cleaning tasks are completed.
  • Monitor the inventory and report any issues or deficiencies.
  • Regularly check fire safety and other safety aspects.
  • Oversee the proper use of vehicles at the location.
  • Address residents regarding compliance with the house rules.
  • Report violations to the Security & Control department.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to resident and visitor records.
  • Be responsible for legionella prevention and pest control.
  • Prepare reports for the management.
  • Ensure proper team scheduling and maintain 24/7 coverage.
  • Be available in case of emergencies.
  • In short, you will be responsible for ensuring everything runs smoothly at the location!

 

 

Who are you and what can you contribute to our company?

You have a social, enthusiastic and strong personality and you are willing to spontaneously go the extra mile. Additionally:

  • You have no 9-5 mentality.
  • Good knowledge of the Polish language;
  • Minimum secondary education (MBO) (pre Hotel of Hospitality management);
  • Experience with crowd management in a hospitable manner;
  • Driver’s licence, category B;
  • Good knowledge of English, Bulgarian or Romanian language (speaking and writing)
  • Knowledge of Dutch language is advantage, the Welfare Officer has to learn and improve his/her knowledge of Dutch language in short term;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
  • Experience with administrative tasks;
  • Work experience in similar function or experience in an international work surrounding (Hotel and/or catering industrial experience).
